What Makes This Team Great?
The Camp Grafton Dining facility serves three meals per day, seven days a week. National Guard and Military personnel from all over the world visit this facility, along with training groups, visitors, and dignitaries. There are also times when dining patrons include youth groups like the Boy Scouts. Each group is planned in advance, and the facility may serve as little as 25 people each meal to as many as 800 or more!
Team members at the dining facility have shift hours ranging from 4am to approximately 8pm. We manage staff scheduling using a mobile app, and provide advance notice of schedules so our team can manage their busy family lives.
Unlike a restaurant, the dining facility closes to patrons in between meal services. This means the team has the ability to focus on cleaning and food prep without distraction from customers throughout their shift. This also means the team can focus on high quality customer service during meal times without being exhausted by the end of their shift.
All Razor Positions at Camp Grafton are provided with competitive hourly wages according to Department of Labor standards. These positions are Federal Contractor positions, which ensures fair and competitive compensation is offered.
Head Chef Position
The Head Chef will be responsible for oversight of all operations for the dining facility. Tasks for this job will include menu creation, inventory management, business operations, and team oversight. Food preparation and other kitchen duties will also be part of this role, but are not required 100% of the time. Candidates will enjoy the ability to use their creative skills when designing offerings, and will be empowered to innovate and apply their skills and new ideas to an existing operation.
Head Chef candidates should have previous Management experience, and being a formally trained chef is not required. We are looking for individuals who love the industry and are excited to lead a great team!
Cooks, Dishwashers, Food Service Workers
Razor understands that healthy teams need flexibility, so we are hiring additional team members to ensure everyone can have a positive work/life balance. These positions are in all areas including Cook, Food Prep, and Dishwashing.
Cooks: Cooks will be responsible for preparing menu offerings for three meals per day. These meals are served at the same time seven days a week, and often our cooks work an early or afternoon shift. Cooks will enjoy preparing a wide variety of menu items and are encouraged to contribute their ideas along the way. Menus are planned every month and new or seasonal offerings are encouraged. Previous cooking experience is required, high volume cooking experience is a plus.
Food Service Workers: Food Service Workers help prepare and serve food items, but are not required to have previous cooking experience. These positions are a great place to receive training in Food Service and may provide the opportunity for a future Cook position. Food Service workers are often the ones who ensure customers have a great experience; they serve meals, replenish the salad bar items, and greet customers as they arrive.
Dishwashers: Dishwashers at Camp Grafton are highly valued and help the entire kitchen stay running at its best. Dishwashers are responsible for cleaning cookware as well as serving trays, utensils, etc. They also make a big impact on helping keep the dining area clean during and after each meal service.
