Accounting Services Team Lead

The Team Lead is mainly responsible for overall service delivery for assigned teams as well as support, coaching and leadership of the team. The Team Lead is responsible for SLA adherence, training and maintaining workload balance. Team Lead will work closely with our Technical and BI resources, offering guidance and assisting in process improvement projects. The Team Lead will report to the Group Manager.

Key Responsibilities

  • Primarily responsible for leading analysts whose scope may cross different business functions
  • Lead and participate in projects meant to improve and streamline current processes and tools
  • Ensure high quality training and resource readiness
  • Act as a trusted leader within the organization while motivating and creating a positive work environment to maintain/increase tenure
  • Review and resolve issues or escalations
  • Build solid, positive working relationships with the Client
  • Drive consistency in tools, templates and processes used by all resources
  • Ensure all resources adhere to business partner communication guidelines
  • Ensure all resources meet quality metrics and deadlines; implementing performance plan or appropriate resource replacement when metrics & deadlines not met
  • Ensure work is assigned and workload of team allocated efficiently; ensure backups/work redundancy/business continuity
  • Ensure adherence to Client Policies, Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX); participate in audits as appropriate

Key Qualifications

  • 2+ years of experience in leadership preferred
  • Experience leading or participating in process efficiency and improvement projects
  • Experience working in a large corporate environment with a dynamic atmosphere
  • Ability to operate within and meet or exceed tight deadlines while being flexible with duties and scope of work
  • Ability to manage/coordinate/measure/track multiple projects/processes
  • Fluent in Microsoft Office Suite, including Power Point, SharePoint, Word, and Outlook
  • Strong Microsoft Excel experience with formulas
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication and presentation skills
  • Ability to communicate with top level leadership and executives
  • Ability to learn and adapt quickly to various systems and tools
  • Meticulous attention to detail
  • Ability to think strategically and manage execution
